Ontological Coaching and Leadership is characterised by coaching to, and leading from, Way of Being. Our Way of Being is the underlying driver of communication and behavior, where our perceptions and attitudes exist, many of which may be deep-seated and out of awareness. Changing at this level can result in the removal of major barriers to learning, and the spontaneous development of highly effective patterns of communication and behaviour. The Ontological Coaching Institute is an international educational, coaching and consulting company specialising in the development of coaches and leaders on a global basis. Founded in Australia in 1996, the Institute operates throughout Australia (as Newfield Institute) and in Asia, Europe, the UK and South Africa. Alan Sieler, the company director, also works extensively in the USA with his partners EFL seminars. We are considered one of the world’s most highly regarded coach training schools and our programs carry ICF ACTP certification

Full Company Profile:

Ontological Coaching and Leadership is characterised by coaching to, and leading from, Way of Being. Our Way of Being is the underlying driver of communication and behavior, where our perceptions and attitudes exist, many of which may be deep-seated and out of awareness. Changing at this level can result in the removal of major barriers to learning, and the spontaneous development of highly effective patterns of communication and behaviour.

The Ontological Coaching Institute is an international training and consulting company that specialises in the application of Ontology for the holistic development of coaches, leaders and managers. We do this by partnering with individuals and organisations in deep learning, coaching and leadership.

In a world of increasing complexity and uncertainty, generated by what seems like relentless and accelerating change, coping effectively and living a meaningful life have become central issues in our everyday existence. Dealing with these issues requires learning and addressing a critical question: “What learning is necessary to live and work well?”

Ontological coaches and leaders are skilful facilitators of profound learning that generates genuine transformation and more powerful and constructive ways of engaging with different aspects of life and work.

FOR COACHES:

To become a coach requires an in-depth understanding of human beings and how people change, grow and develop, along with ways to support and facilitate that learning with their clients.  Having robust theoretical underpinnings along with practical and comprehensive application is critical to the effectiveness of the coach and the value they can offer to individuals, teams, and organisations. We provide this through rigorous and comprehensive education that develops coaching, leadership, and consulting excellence.

FOR LEADERS AND MANAGERS:

From a leadership perspective, leaders are paid to have high quality conversations that get results. And organisations can be considered to be a network of relationships that happen through conversations.  Understanding this is one thing, applying it is another.  It requires leaders to be able to have coaching conversations, use language effectively, positively influence the culture (mood) of the organisation, and have leadership presence.

Ontological Coaching and Leadership provides an effective and practical how-to that enables leaders, coaches and consultants to fast track their development.  Whilst there is substantial intellectual foundation to Ontological Coaching, the coach and leadership programs are highly practical and ‘hands on’.

OUR PROGRAMS:

In addition to offering consulting and coaching, there are 2 public programs which focus  on developing coaching and leadership competence.  An introductory 3 day program is a pre-requisite to the 18 month program.

3 Day Program:  Ontological Coaching and Leadership in Action (OCLiA)

This workshop provides a substantive practical and experiential introduction to Ontological Coaching and Leadership.

18 month Program:  Certified Ontological Coaching and Leadership Program (COCLP)

The Certified Ontological Coaching and Leadership Program is the most thorough and extensive coach training program available in South Africa, Europe, Australia and the Asia Pacific region.  Ontological Coaching is an extraordinarily powerful methodology for effecting real change at the individual, team and organisational level. It is highly effective because it is based on a new practical understanding of the power of language, moods and conversations for behavioural and cultural change.
